I must add, that I am a born-again, changed by the grace of God, person. There was a time in life where I was unsure of my purpose. Then, the Lord found me. My music and life must reflect that merciful change.
My record, Getting Out of Here, will be riddled with original gospel. It will sound like a rock record. But, the inspiration is all a blessing from God above and how his son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit have cast away my old life.
These are the hands of a producer, too.
Don't think that I'm confined to just performing your favorite cover songs. Oh, no. Since 2003, I have been hacking away at recording the music of others as well as my own. I have recorded bands such as, thank you spaceman, The Secret Ingredient and solo artists like, Darren Edward.
I'm proud to announce that the long awaited
recording is coming to fruition.
It was only recently that a friend from church spurred me to create a song to go with some lyrics that he wrote. The song is titled, Daytona. The creation of Daytona is complete and has inspired me to put together a Demo titled, "Daytona: The Half EP." The Demo will be realeased in physical and digital form along with two other songs that you already know, Getting Out of Here and Bring Me Home.
This has been quite an undertaking. I hired local stars and friends, Gabriel Nicholson and Mark Lassiter to assist as producers on this project. And I have set pretty lofty goals for the completion of it. But, i know that with the help of the lord it will be seen through to completion.
For the past 9 years, I've refined my technique and musicianship while taking it upon myself to perfect the art and science of songwriting. The result of my labors is a string of successful performances, along with audience and critical acclaim.
Performing, composing, arranging, recording, producing, loving.
I can say humbly and without ego that I'm not your average musician. I started my musical training at the age of 6 under the masterful talents of 2 piano instructors. I was glued to music from that point. 7 years passed and I began to pick up other instruments. With guitar as my secondary instrument I began writing and recording songs on a small dual tape deck.
It was evident that music was going to be part of my life somehow. Sure, I worked jobs. But, something always drew me back. I began performing acoustic sets at local restaurants. Next thing I knew I was busy teaching up and coming youngsters, my peers and my elders in the way of music.
I am always writing something new. I'm always recording something new. I am always jamming with someone or some band somewhere.
